  The only thing a logging program is interested in is where you were last transmitting. I think from a work-flow point of view it makes sense to log the active slice.

  If you disable the unwanted DAX channels in the OS, they will not show up in the application's list of sound cards.

  The same with opening a new slice on a nearby frequency. This should not require a re-tune.
